    I found that the Merredin Military Museum was well worth the drive out from Perth and so did my 10 yo son. It was refreshing NOT to see ""Keep off" or "Don't touch" signs everywhere.

    PS make sure you take the 30 minute drive North to see the Nungarin Heritage Machinery Army Museum too. Unfortunately, for my son, the Halftrack and Scout car are not for sale.
